Laconic gray monochrome, a lot of light, warm wood, panels made of natural stone, graphic black «touches» – the popular contemporary style is successfully complemented by brutal loft details in the apartment design with an area of 65 sq. m. The owners of the apartment – a spouses who left their adult children to live in a country house and moved to the capital to be in the thick of things – dreamed of an ultra-fashionable ergonomic space, and all their wishes were reflected in the design project.
The search for an optimal planning solution took a lot of time due to the presence of a diagonal wall in the apartment, bathrooms with a lack of usable space and the desire of customers to divide the premises by functionality. As a result, a bar counter appeared in the interior, separating the kitchen, a spectacular shelving unit and a light partition made of matte embossed plastic. Warm-tone LED backlighting, highlighting the shelves and niches, and a bio-fireplace added coziness to the atmosphere.
Two cats will live in the apartment, therefore, thin wide-format porcelain stoneware LAMINAM was chosen as the main anti-vandal finish, which was also used to decorate the facades of kitchen furniture. And the original wall house for the owner’s pets, invented by Maria Green, looks like an unusual art object and acts as the main decorative element in the bedroom interior.
