This cottage was bought in Paphos, on the southwestern coast of the Cyprus, that is full of sun. My task was to create a project for the reconstruction of a dilapidated residential building and provide the customer with a modern, stylish result. A significant factor that restricts any designer’s flight of thoughts, was a modest budget.
So: easy, cheap, beautiful. After the repair, arched windows will be left in the house, connecting the kitchen with the living room, and a semi-arched portal and louvre shutters, that are considered to be so characteristic of the Mediterranean style elements. The softness of the country will accentuate the bold, graphic style of memphis, shown in the decoration and furniture. The perforated partition separating the staircase from the living room on the top floor is functional and truly beautiful.
Along with white, delicate pastel shades formed the basis of the color concept. A contrast of warm lilac and cold violet tones will give the expressiveness to the interior.
